How to Start.

The best start is to begin by meeting us! We believe that it pays to get your builder involved early. Simple advice from our experienced and qualified director Jay when making critical decisions like choosing a section, architectural style, plans and building materials can save a lot of hassle later on. It’s free and also means that you don’t miss out on your preferred builder. Don’t worry if you’ve already got a few of those things ticked off- from that initial meeting we will establish if we are best suited to working with you to get your project underway.

The Cambridge Building Process.

This is our first conversation. Either over the phone or via email this is really the first time we’ll get to meet you. From this initial contact, we’ll get a good understanding of your project, and will seek to see how we can provide you with the best advice.

 

Book us in for a coffee.

If we can help you, we will then schedule in a time to meet with you in person for your FREE 1 hour ‘Build Local’ planning consultation. During this 1 hour consultation we will sit down with you and draw as much information from you as possible. Our aim here is to fully understand your situation, the resources you have available, the timeline you’d like to meet etc. During this meeting we encourage you to bring any ideas, house plans, section information and other relevant documents.

Site Inspection.

Where dreams are formed. A great design that is within budget is the key. Advice from us on architectural style, plans and building materials can save a lot of hassle later on. At Cambridge Building Services we know the right people in the right places (experts working in specialist areas) so we can remove the stress surrounding making those ‘right decisions’. If you don’t have concept plans already, here is where we get this organised with a designer well matched with your requirements.

Concept Plans.

From dreams to reality. Concept design and house/alteration estimate is prepared and decisions are made. Once these are approved, full working drawings and product selections are prepared, presented and finalised. A fixed price contract is prepared by us based on full working drawings and approved by you. Once you have signed the contract documents we will prepare and lodge with Council your building consent application. An establishment fee and deposit will be invoiced. While your plans are in at Council, you select colours and finishes for your new home. We have consultants who are happy to help you with this.

And so it begins..

Construction of your new home will commence soon after Council consented plans are received; at which stage a build start date is determined and an indicative timeline presented. Progress payments will be required as per the contract. You are guaranteed access to your site and our team will be happy to show you progress. We will require you to notify us in advance so we can ensure health and safety protocol is followed. When you build with Cambridge Building Services you get a direct relationship with your experienced building team who will document your build for you in a series of photos taken at all the exciting phases.

On the home straight.

Throughout the build we encourage open communication. We find that by asking questions and hosting you regularly we are proactive resolving in any potential problem. Once construction is completed Jay will personally undertake final inspection and full quality control checks and liaise with council for code of compliance. After commercial cleaning, we will host you through your final walk through of your home to ensure you are 100% satisfied and present you with your warrantees and house keys.

Live the Dream.

As you’ve moved in and are enjoying your home, our follow up service will begin. We are commented to providing 100% satisfaction and so will remain in close contact with you. You have a 12 month maintenance period that you can call on and our customer care is guaranteed. We will provide a professional photography shoot for you to be able to showcase your beautiful home at its best and in return all we ask is for your testimonial for our future clients.

Service Guarantee.

We are so confident of your satisfaction we guarantee it. Jay and the team are responsive and communicative. Our workmanship is completed to a high standard and our ongoing customer care for is for 12 months after your project has been completed.

For your peace of mind you are covered by the Homefirst Builders 10 year guarantee by virtue of having a Certified Builder perform your work. Where a Certified Builder is the head contractor the guarantee covers materials and work completed by your Certified Builder. We’ve got you covered: You’ll be protected by our comprehensive insurance throughout the build process including public liability, contract works on new builds & faulty workmanship.
